Our Employees All of our Shop and Engineering employees have diverse Tool & Die- Machine shop backgrounds, and are all certified Journeymen Tool & Die Makers. All are dedicated professionals with many years in the business at their trade. AccuDie is registered with the US and PA Dept of Labor & Industry for apprentice training (8,000 hrs). About the Owner Grant B. Started in the Tool & Die Industry at age 17 as an apprentice Tool & Die maker. By the age of 35 when (Gran-Tech) AccuDie Tool & Die went full time he had achieved the following positions: Tool & Die Maker, Radioear Corp McMurray Pa. (1975) Machine Shop Group, Radioear Corp McMurray Pa. Leader (1977) Tool Designer, Union Switch and Signal Co., Swissvale Pa. (1978) Senior Tool Designer, Union Switch and Signal Co., Swissvale Pa. (1980) Tooling and Plant Engineer, Acme Stamping and Wire Forming Co., Pittsburgh Pa. General Manager, South Pitt Tool Inc., Pittsburgh Pa. (1985) Gran-Tech Tool and Die was started as a side business at home in his basement in 1984 and incorporated as AccuDie Inc. in 1995.
